Is a .380 a suitable handgun caliber for self defense?

My answer?  Any gun is better than no gun.  A gun that you can control is better than a hand-cannon you can't.  If he practiced with a .380, then that's the gun he needs to carry.

Obama uses Dead Soldiers for Photo Op

How many times have I said it?  Obama only gives a shit about the military when he can get a good photo from it to help his re-election chances.

Problem is, this time he did it over the direct objections of the deceased Soldier's families.

Obama, you fucking ghoul, you aren't fit to be called the Commander in Chief.  You have no right to violate those families wishes when it comes to how the remains of their loved ones are handled.  And the fact that you essentially told them to piss up a rope highlights just what a narcissistic, brainless, classless fucking ASSHOLE you are.

I will fucking dance a jig the day that god-damned piece of worm shit is kicked out of the Oval Office.  Holy fuck me gently with a chainsaw, every time I remember that he's CinC I want to go vomit.  We would be better served with a fucking baboon in that position.  At least the baboon wouldn't insult the families of dead Soldiers.

Busy as hell

Didn't even have time to get online yesterday.  I did however manage to start a five gallon batch of ginger beer.  We'll see how it comes out.

Torchlight

So I'm sitting out in my yard smoking a cigar and surfing the web. Due to the high  number of mosquitos we have here in Wisconsin, I've got citronella torches lit, all the way around my table.  It's dark, but I've got light all around me.  Middle Ages kind of light.

No, there's nothing special about it, other than the fact that it's the very same kind of light we'll enjoy when we can't afford electricity thanks to government regulation.

Memories of my youth

Anyone else remember Lisa Loeb?  I used to love this song.  Still do, as a matter of fact.



Part of it isn't just her voice; it's the background musicians that are all joining in.  Bass, drums, rhythm guitar.  Yeah, she's got a good voice.  Yes, her talent is there.  But the foundation that's set in this song got me hooked.  Play it through, and try to listen to the background that carries the song.
