Human Beatboxer

This is amazing.

I am Jack's aching back

So anyways, I'm on the Post Chapel's flag football team. Just a nice game of friendly flag football. We haven't lost a game yet.

Now, for those who might be unfamiliar with military flag football teams, here's a clue: Yeah, the quarterback, running back and recievers have flags, and you pull a flag to "down" them. All nice and friendly.

But the lines, both offense and defense? Yeah, we wear flags, but only in case we actually catch the ball. Otherwise, we might as well be in pads, because we're slamming against each other with wild abandon. We're not playing "flag" football, we're just playing football without the protective equipment.

The last game we had, I was on the offensive line, but the defense was having problems containing the quarterback. So I switched lines and someone else took my place on offense. I'm better at chasing people than blocking people anyways. We were playing the ROTC team, and I figured I could get into the QB's head pretty easily. I'd line up and start growling at the other line. I'd wait till they were set and then suddenly move over to a gap and scream at them. I'd chase the QB while screaming my head off the whole time. No words, just a hellish scream that didn't stop until he was down or had thrown the ball. Our defensive ends are pretty quick, so while I couldn't quite run the QB down I could flush him right to my ends, and they'd pop his flags. We got a goal-line stop, and afterwards I was on the sidelines hollaring "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" at the top of my lungs. All in all, it was a chance for me to completely lose my head and have a good time while doing so. I started getting double teamed, and if I couldn't just blast my way through them, I'd juke 'em out of their shoes and chase the QB anyways. We won the game, and I had a ball.

My shoulders and back are killing me right now. If they could speak, they would be saying "YOU DUMB SON-OF-A-BITCH! YOU'RE NOT TWENTY ANYMORE!" I woke up yesterday morning, and my knees were sitting on my nightstand, drinking a cup of coffee and asking "So, really, how old do you think you are? C'mon, can you give me a ballpark guess?" The entire house smells of Salonpas and Tiger Balm, because I've been slathered in them for two days.

And I'm going to do it all over again Monday. Oh yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Anyways, here are a few stories that caught my eye: The Stock Market hits a four-and-a-half year high.

Just keep that in mind when the Dimocrats try to say that Bush's tax cuts are wrecking the economy. Remember, it's socialist schemes like the ones espoused by the Dimocrats that kill the economy.

And Captain Ed has one hell of an asswhuppin for Joe Biden. There isn't just one part I can quote so head on over and read it all. I will give you this statement which I agree with completely.

And in this last question, we have exactly the reason why Biden and his political allies cannot ever take charge of American security. Both of his priorities reflect a fundamental misjudgment about the nature of war, the nature of this war, and the nature of our enemy.

Oh yeah.

Murtha Stunt Was Pre-Emptive Attempt to Save Face By Democrats

Anatomy of the Murtha Stunt

Now, Murtha mused, it was his turn to confront a president with harsh truths. Which was precisely what the Democratic leadership wanted Murtha to do. A close ally, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, was anxious to open a second axis of attack on Iraq—and was aware of his growing antagonism toward the war. The two met and agreed that he would make his case in private to the party conference. After that, on his own, he would introduce a resolution calling for withdrawal of troops from Iraq "at the earliest practicable date." Pelosi and the other liberals would keep their distance, while their own Marine charged up the Hill.

So Democrat "leadership" in the House of Representatives wanted Murtha to call for withdrawal while they kept their distance and they cooked this traitorous little stunt up with the Democrat party in private partly because Nancy Pelosi was anxious to open up another attack on the war.

Anxious? More like desperate. The Democrats have invested themselves in this nations's defeat in Iraq because it pleases their constituents and because they have invested an enormous amount of time and rhetoric saying as Murtha has that "we can not win militarily in Iraq". For us to succeed in our objectives (a democratic Iraq that can protect itself), it would make all their nay saying soo much undeniable garbage. THAT is what drove the Democrats to the Murtha Stunt. They picked a decorated vet (because you can't critisize them unless they critisize a Democrat and then they are fair game) and from the onset referred to him as a "hawk". This was intended to shield the traitor from critisism and to pre-emptively bolster credentials. Murtha is anything but a hawk. He was, by his own admission, instrumental in President Clinton's decision to pull our soldiers out of Somalia after terrorists attacked them at Mogadishu. This defeat embolden al Qaeda and encouraged Osama to plan new attacks as the terrorist told ABC News. Yet again, Murtha is pushing for immediate withdrawal of US forces from the field of battle with al Qaeda. A bill was proposed matching Murtha's rhetoric in the House and was defeated 400 to 3. Their stunt had backfired. Republicans called their bluff.

Democrats have been complaining about....well...everything we've done in Iraq since we set foot on Iraqi soil for operation Iraqi freedom, so it's good idea to familiarize one's self with what we've actually accomplished thus far by reviewing the plan for establishing a free Iraq:

April 2003 - Liberation (Saddam Hussein, the butcher of Baghdad deposed)
July 2003 - Governing Council established
September 2003 - First Cabinet formed
November 2003 - Deadlines Announced for Sovereignty and Transitional Administrative Law
March 2004 - Transitional Administrative Law
June 1, 2004 - Interim Government Announced
June 30, 2004 - Sovereignty (Interim Government Assumes Power)
July 2004 - National Conference Convened National Council Established
January 2005 - Democratic Elections (Transitional Government Elected)
These elections (which were held on schedule) saw 8 million vote, Sunni Arabs (formerly comprising Saddam's Ba'ath party) boycotted the elections only to express regret afterwards, a little under 100 attacks occurred nation-wide.
October 2005 - The Constitution Ratified
These elections (which were also held on schedule) saw 10 million vote. Some Sunni Arabs (formerly comprimising Saddam's Ba'ath party) defy foriegn terrorists' call for Sunni Arabs to boycott this election as well creating a rift between the two camps of Iraq's insurgency. This time there were only 19 attacks on polling places. The Constitution was ratified by 80 percent of voters. You may not have heard about this, because at the time the American press was fully dedicated to Democrat complaints about the 2000 soldier lost in the war effort. News of Iraq's successful constitutional referendum does not fit with the view that Iraq is a complete failure, so it was ignored.

There is a logical trend to follow here. The Sunni Arabs start out determined to oppose Iraqs new Government (perhaps because they thought that a Ba'athist controlled Iraq could re-emerge with the help of al Qaeda and leftists the world over), but as the majority of Iraqis eagerly take part in the democratic process, these home grown Iraqi insurgents end up marginalizing themselves in the political process and waring with their fellow citizens. Now they have a choice. They can continue down this dark path or they can seek a truce with their fellow citizens and particpate in a system of self determination. This is the situation we have created in Iraq. The Democrats know this. They know that we will triumph and that a free Iraq will unite to fight terrorism.

And all along, we've been training Iraqi Security forces, partnering them with Coalition forces and conducting security operations. There are now over 200,000 Iraqi Security forces and they expect 75,000 more by this time next year. And over 70% of security operations are now done by Iraqi forces.

Now to the future and why the Murtha Stunt was an attempt by Democrats to save face:

In December 2005 Iraq will hold Constitutionally-based Elections and a Constitutional Government will be elected. At this point, Iraq is officially a free and democratically elected constitutional government. Iraqi Sunni Arabs know that if they boycott these elections, they will reduce their proportion of representation in Iraq's new government. Al Qaeda has no such reservations. Rather they will attempt to prevent Iraqis from accomplishing this goal and seek to punish those that partake in the democratic process. But Iraq's government knows that the terrorist insurgency will not prevail. They also know that Iraqi security will continue to grow in scope and competency as it has all along. Our military leaders in charge of operations in Iraq know this as well. In fact, in July of 2005 the top US commander in Iraq said he believed a "fairly substantial" pullout could begin next spring and summer (2006) That was the opinion of our military leaders and the Iraqi government. This was NOT John Murtha's tail-between-our-legs withdrawal in defeat. This is was the decision of people that saw Victory in the future of Iraq. The news was a shot through the heart of the Democrats who espoused a "quagmire" defeat in Iraq. Their behavior since then has been utterly desperate culminating in the Murtha Stunt. They are failures and they know it. We will not leave Iraq in defeat. Expect the Democrats to continue to deny our success while keeping maticulous track of the number of soldiers we've lost and espouse the language of defeat as we reduce the number of troops stationed in Iraq over the next year. It's the only hope they have of saving face. But like al Qaeda, who also has a vested interest in our defeate in Iraq, Democrats will be disappointed and dejected.

Murtha Encouraged Osama bin Laden to Plan New Attacks

In a 1998 interview with ABC's John Miller, Osama bin Laden said that America's withdrawal from Somalia had emboldened his burgeoning al Qaida force and encouraged him to plan new attacks.
"Our people realize[d] more than before that the American soldier is a paper tiger that run[s] in defeat after a few blows," the terror chief recalled. "America forgot all about the hoopla and media propaganda and left dragging their corpses and their shameful defeat."

After terrorists attacked U.S. troops in Mogadishu, Somalia 12 years ago, anti-Iraq war Democrat, Rep. John Murtha urged then-President Clinton to begin a complete pullout of U.S. troops from the region.

"Our welcome has been worn out," Rep Murtha told NBC's "Today" show in Sept. 1993, a month after 4 U.S. Military Police had been killed in Somalia by a remote-detonated land mine. The Pennsylvania Democrat announced that President Clinton had been "listening to our suggestions. And I think you'll see him move those troops out very quickly."

Murtha said the U.S. had to no choice but to pull out now, explaining, "There's no military solution. Some of them will tell you [that] to get [warlord Mohamed Farrah] Aidid is the solution. I don't agree with that." The comments were eerily similar to Murtha's assessment of U.S involvement in Iraq last week, when he declared, "the U.S. cannot accomplish anything further militarily. It is time to bring [the troops] home."

That Murtha, he's such a "Hawk", eh?! Unfortunately for Osama, Murtha won't get his way this time. Let's make sure it stays that way.

"The Only Exit Strategy Is Victory"

George W Bush 2005? Nope - John F Kerry 2003 (before he was against it).

Iraqi Forces Now Implement 70% of Security Operations

Yesterday, Greyhawk received Haider Ajina's latest translation of Iraqi media reports.

“As for the departure of the multi national forces from Iraq, Iraqi vice president Adel Abdulmehdi clarified that during his visit to Washington DC he met with U.S. Defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld. He talked with him about handing over the security of Iraqi cities to the Iraqi national forces, as had happened in Nejaf and certain areas of Baghdad. They also agreed that the mission of the multi national forces in Iraq will not be complete until qualified Iraq forces are ready to fill the security roll. He also pointed out that a fundamental agreement with the multi national forces does not contain a withdrawal time table. This agreement also acknowledges the larger roll of the Iraqi armed forces are taking. Over 70% of security operations are now done by Iraqi forces; this has grown from just 30%”.

How can that be?! The Donks claim all is lost. :) Ajina says:

Progress in Iraq is quite measurable and noticeable on weekly bases. Security is improving in the last two provinces. Iraqi security forces are taking a much larger roll in the security of their country. Sunni & Baathists are talking about laying down their arms and joining the political process, and some have already done so. All this is possible because of our & the Iraqis hard work sacrifices and tenacity.

Ignoring the Senate Intelligence Committee report and the Silberman-Robb commission report, ignoring statements uttered by Democrats that were identitcal or stronger than those made by the Bush administration, trying to make a hawk out of a dove and have him call for immediate withdrawal from Iraq - in perspective, they are the last ditch efforts of a political party that sold it's soul to the craven traitors of moveon dot never and is attempting to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Invested in another American defeat, the Democrats find themselves again, on the wrong side of history.

I like just about every blogger...

...who is part of OSM or Pajamas Media or whatever. But I'm not sure it gets a whole lot more narcissistic and self-aggrandizing than publicizing a debate that amounts to this:

"Who are we and just what are we gonna do about ourselves now that our first attempt at doing something about who we are lasted less than a week before we ourselves realized we just HAD to do something about ourselves?"

Here's a suggestion: type some opinions I cannot find in bigger media (like good bloggers do), direct me to information and other opinions I cannot find in bigger media (like good bloggers do), and keep the mirror gazing to a minimum (like good bloggers do).

Happy Thanksgiving

I have a huge list of things that I'm thankful for, but I won't bore you with all of them. Just a few of them.

I'm thankful for my wife, who puts up with more shit from me and on my behalf than any sane woman should have to deal with.

I'm thankful for my parents, who did their best to raise me right. I'd like to say that they succeeded.

I'm thankful for having the chances to experience all of this great country. I've lived in the big city, and I've lived out in the country, and everywhere in between. Those experiences have made me a better person in the end.

I'm thankful that Tim gave some loon a chance to sit down and type a few rants onto a webpage a couple of years ago.

And now seriously, if you spend more than a few minutes on the computer reading blogs, stop it. Put the mouse down. Step away from the keyboard. Find someone in your family or friends and give 'em a hug. Surround yourself with as many friends and family as possible.

And think about things you have to be thankful for.

It was not a technical "glitch"

Check out this recording of a call to CNN. "Freedom of speech" my ass. The big black X over Vice President Cheney's face on CNN during his live speech was put there on purpose. They know it, we know it, everybody with half a brain knows it.

P.S.: Happy Thanksgiving!

Iraq's a lost cause? Ask the real experts

Snip:

American soldiers are also much more optimistic than American civilians. The Pew Research Center and the Council on Foreign Relations just released a survey of American elites that found that 64% of military officers are confident that we will succeed in establishing a stable democracy in Iraq. The comparable figures for journalists and academics are 33% and 27%, respectively. Even more impressive than the Pew poll is the evidence of how our service members are voting with their feet. Although both the Army and the Marine Corps are having trouble attracting fresh recruits — no surprise, given the state of public opinion regarding Iraq — reenlistment rates continue to exceed expectations. Veterans are expressing their confidence in the war effort by signing up to continue fighting.

Democrats Frantic - Question Their Own Patriotism

The idea of holding up a vet like Murtha and using him as a shield to deflect critism over the traitorous attempt at instituting the policy of cutting and running in Iraq may have sounded fabulous in the echo chambers of the left, but when we forced them to put their vote where their big fat traitorous mouths have been since about the time our soldiers set foot on Iraqi soil in Operation Iraqi Freedom, they:
1) Claimed there wasn't enough time to debate what they've been clamoring for all along. During that time they've done nothing but bitch about what a mistake the liberation of the Iraqi people was and when pressed for their suggestions on how to fix it, they claim Bush and Republicans "broke it" so we "bought it". In other words, "Fuck the Iraqis and our troops, figure it out yourself. Besides we don't have anything constructive to offer anyway."
2) Claimed they didn't want to cut and run after all. Claimed Murtha just wanted to debate. Yeah. That's why he proposed a fucking resolution in congress calling for the end to military deployment in Iraq. Again. This is after years of braying about how all was lost in Iraq ("QUAGMIRE"), and how they regret their votes, and how we "can't win in Iraq militarily" (Murtha). BUT NO! They weren't REALLY calling for immediate withdrawal. Idiots. They are so invested in our failure in Iraq that they have been reduced to demanding it, because they know damned well at this point that it isn't going to happen without some sabotage on their part.
3) VOTED AGAINST IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL (400-3)
4) And, of course, they claim we are questioning their patriotism. You don't even have to question their patriotism to question their patriotism. You just have to read the statements a Marine Reservist responding to the call for immediate withdrawal out loud in the House of Representatives like Representative Jean Schmidt (R-OH) did when she relayed a message from Marine Corps Reserve Colonel Danny Bubp. Watch the vid to hear the donks erupt in brays when she repeats Danny's words, "Cowards cut and run, Marines never do." Remember, these are the same idiots that say now that they weren't calling for cut and run. Yet when words spoken equate anyone who would advocate that with being a coward, they go ape shit. Must have hit pretty close to the mark to get 'em all riled up like that. Actions speak louder than words, jackasses. Amazingly, this IS their new defense. Pointing out that they advocate cutting and running is just the same as questioning their patriotism. How about pointing out the lies that Cindy Sheehan's friend Jimmy Massey (John Kerry Jr.) told about how brutal and nasty the actions of our troops are. That's probably questioning their patriotism too. Wouldn't want to do that, now would we? After all, that would be like....well....saying the President of the United States intentionally lied to take us to war (even though you yourself said the same thing he did or went even further at the time). "Questioning patriotism" is fine as long as it's a Democrat doing the "questioning".

Update: 5) Now they say it's the Republicans who "have brought/are bringing the war home". OH!!!! So politicizing pre-war intelligence and statements that reflected the sentiments of the previous administration in regards to Saddam Hussein's Iraq is "keeping it over there"? Calling for a policy of immediate withdrawal is "keeping it over there"? Cindy Shoehorn chaining herself to the White House fence....keeping it over there? Get the Donks a shovel before they drown in it.

When it comes to checking email, and then replying to it,....

...I am a total delinquent.

Here are some blogs whose authors have written to me over the past 120 days:

SGT Pundit. Also looks like it's been boarded up.

Stop The ACLU. I love the Homeland Holiday Advisory System.

Fire Hollywood

That is all.

And yet the STILL insist that they're "objective"

Because nothing says objective like putting a big black "X" over the Vice-President's face while he's giving a speech, right?

Hey! Stop questioning their patriotism!

And DANEgerus kindly reminds us that this is the same MSM network that titled a .jpg of President Bush "Asshole.jpg".

I said stop questioning their patriotism!

UPDATE: There's a good number of people debating whether or not the "X" that flashed on the VP's face was deliberate or not. Now, I'm not knowledgeable in TV station electronics, so I'm willing to state that yeah, it could have been a mistake. Hell, it could have been nothing more than an electronic glitch that someone with an idea of how things work could explain in two seconds. Michelle Malkin has a good roundup on the subject.

But here's my standpoint: CNN has already shown itself to be biased, to the point of naming a picture of the President and his wife Asshole.jpg on it's news website! I cannot give CNN the benefit of the doubt any longer, because they used up whatever credibility they had a long time ago. They have no laurels to rest on. Their reputation isn't just tattered, it's shredded and soaking in a septic tank right now. Brain Terminal says Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by incompetence. Good advice, that. However, given the degree of malice that CNN has shown, as well as outright partisanship, until it can be proven that this was indeed a technical glitch, I'm forced to believe that it was a deliberate thing. I'm not discounting the possibility that it was a glitch, but given that both sides of the debate are plausible, I'm siding with the Malice group.

"They are achieving nothing, they are suffering from casualties."

Hat Tip

Where did I get the title?

Diplomatic Relations with Abu Zarqawi

Not that I think John Murtha is a blithering idiot....I do, but let's take him at his word. Let's propose another resolution!

From Murtha's Resolution calling for immediate withdrawal from Iraq:

"Section 3 The United States of America shall pursue security and stability in Iraq through diplomacy."

Yes, Democrats actually expect you to take them seriously when it comes to national security. So we shall!!!

As this is your plan, Democrats:

Who shall we negotiate with? Abu Zaraqawi? Feel free to propose a fucking list!

If we are to negotiate, what are YOU (Democrats) willing to give the terrorists you decided to negotiate with? Be precise! Is it whether or not Iraq becomes a stable democracy capable of defending itself from terrorists? Because that is what is on the fucking line right now. That is what our terrorist enemies are killing innocent men women and children, anyone partaking in the political process we've fostered in Iraq, and coalition troops in order to prevent.

What do you expect the terrorists to give up? We should be given some idea of what your vaunted "diplomacy" WILL accomplish! After all, you fault Bush for not laying out to the minute when each and ever single car bomb, or I.E.D. explodes in Iraq, right? We should expect no less from you.

I know you pathetic fucking leftists read this because you occasionally shit into our comments. So here is your chance. Defend this call for allowing "diplomacy" to "secure" and "stabilize" Iraq. Then we can put it to a vote. Just like we did your constant calls for immediate withdrawal from Iraq. You've got bitching down to a fine art, now try playing by the rules you set down for us. You'll fail. We'll rub your noses in it just like we're doing with the 400-3 vote against cutting and running. But you're big blustery Democrats, you're not afraid to back up what you say, right?

Excuse me?

Did I hear that right?

In an April 7, 2004, article by Dana Priest, the Washington Post reported that few members of Congress read the full 92-page October 2002 NIE. "?No more than six senators and a handful of House members read beyond the five-page National Intelligence Estimate executive summary, according to several congressional aides responsible for safeguarding the classified material," the Post said.

OK, let me see if I have this correctly: We have the entire Dimocrat party throwing one huge diaper-filling temper-tantrum, claiming that they were LIED to, that the President somehow MISLED them into voting to authorize the war, and yet these same shit-filled sacks of idiocy....

DID NOT EVEN READ THE FUCKING INTELLIGENCE REPORTS!

Oh. My. God.

Roberts confirmed to me that he had in fact read the report. But it turns out that Reid did not.

Reid said: "We're talking about six senators. The answer is, if you ask me, I didn't read it. But I don't know who did. But there's a hundred senators, not six. And some members of the Intelligence Committee may have read it. I don't know. But the fact of the matter is you can't escape this, the administration manipulated the evidence and the people who opposed them, like Amb. [Joseph] Wilson were taken to the woodshed."

Lyin' Joe Wilson, who has been caught lying multiple times? THAT Amb. Wilson? Yeah, we really want to trust him, don't we? And how can you claim that the administration manipulated evidence WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE FUCKING EVIDENCE IS???

Drumwaster (where I found the link) has his own comments to this as well.

You wanna know the real reason why they never read it? Because they had been saying the same thing themselves for years. They didn’t need to go any deeper than what the entire world had been saying for a decade - that Saddam was a bad man who consorted with terrorists and wanted nuclear weapons as soon as possible.

I really do hope that the Donks keep with this trend. I really, really do. By 2010 the Dimocrat party will be nothing but a group of whacked-out dipshits and drug-addled lunatics.

Oh hell, that's what the Dimocrat party is today. Who am I kidding?

And Drum, I like the translation of Harry Reid.

“I didn’t read it, but I know it was filled with lies, even though I actually voted for the war it recommended.”

But gee golly gosh...

I guess it's just like the Dimocrats said: We can't win this war.

SADR CITY, Iraq (Army News Service, Nov. 18, 2005.) -- Iraqi Army Soldiers raided the residences of suspected terrorists in Sadr City and detained 19 men Nov. 14.

Fifteen of the men are suspected members of a terrorist group responsible for murders and kidnappings in Baghdad.

The raids were planned and led by Iraqi soldiers.

“The Iraqi Army did a great job on this one—they got the targets quickly and quietly,” said Sgt. 1st Class Luis Molina, operations sergeant with 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment.

In addition to the 15 suspects, three men were detained when Iraqi troops found body armor in their possession.

All the detainees are being processed by the Iraqi judicial system.

That doesn't sound like failure to me. In fact, that wouldn't sound like failure to anyone but the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys of the Dimocrat party.

Also, from the same article:

Along with numerous sewer, water, and electric projects, a hospital for women and children is being refurbished in Sadr City.

Since July 5, 2004, Parsons Delaware, Inc., has been working on Ibn Al Baladi Hospital (Arabic for “Son of My Town”), a facility in southern Sadr City primarily providing health care to women and children.

But, but, but.... the Dimocrats say that no one in Iraq has water or electricity! This story is obviously a manufactured outrage by the Bushitermchaliburtonchimpy junta!

“The differences [between the finished and unfinished portions of the hospital] are night and day,” said Maj. Paul Ashcraft, a representative from 2nd Brigade Combat Team, which is responsible for the area. “They’ve taken a hospital that’s been neglected for 30 years, and are turning it into a first-class facility.”

The renovation of Ibn Al Baladi Hospital is part of an overall effort to improve health care facilities in Baghdad. Five outpatient clinics being built across Sadr City will put competent care within much easier reach.

The hospital was neglected for thirty years? But the Dimocrats all whine and claim that Iraq under Saddam was all puppies and kittens and wonderfull free healthcare for everybody!

Oh, wait... that's what they claim about Cuba under Castro. The Dimocrats stick their tongues so far up the ass of any dictator that I get confused about which ones they're giving a tongue-bath to at the time.

In any case, I just thought you'd like to know about some of the good news coming out of Iraq. Because you won't see it in the Lame-Stream Media any time soon. The way the New York Slimes is going, the Iraqi government will finally take full control of the country, and the NYT headlines will read "US LOSES CONTROL OF IRAQ! WOMEN AND CHILDREN HURT THE MOST!"

Pheh.

Press opposition gets weirder

This (found at RedState.org) is pretty odd:

Maybe the battle for Iraq is going better than we thought - the freedom fighters are actually ambushing themselves these days...

Michael Ramirez...

...is top shelf.
